Sledding

After our snow storm last weekend, we finally got enough snow to go sledding finally! Lorin couldn't wait all weekend. We had fun with the Catalado's. Allen, Maddie and Hunter had a ton of fun with us as well!

By Request

By popular demand or aka Maresa, I am posting Lorin and her silliness. During Nina's recent visit Lorin was being silly with her juice and decided to call it "Beer". Take a look at the video and enjoy!

Also, added is Nick's favorite picture with Lorin in his '73 mustang. She got to sit in Daddy's car while Nick took it around the block! She was one happy lil' girl! :)

Julie's Birthday

I had a wonderful birthday weekend! Saturday I enjoyed an early movie and then later spending time with Nick's parents walking through the terrorism, the CELL which was interesting! Enjoy dinner finally at Racine's and had the best service EVER!!
Sunday, my birthday, I enjoyed my annual pumpkin pancakes and then got to root for the Broncos who now are (5-0)! Woo hoo!
For my birthday dinner, my mom and Mark drove all the way down from Wyoming and we enjoyed Margaritas and Chocolate cake...oh and some dinner too at Hacienda!
GREAT DAY!
Plus, I got the best birthday present ever...a Nikon D90 Camera from Nick. You thought I took a lot of photos before...haha! Watch out...!

Go Broncos

Lorin helped decorate the house with Halloween/Fall items and we all watched the Broncos win (4-0) against the Cowboys. Sorry Nina, you flew all the way in from Texas, to watch your team lose!! Hope you had fun at least at the game!
GO BRONCOS!!!

Trail Dust

After a long day at Anderson Farms, we still all made it to a family dinner at the Trail Dust! Lorin enjoyed the long slide they had there and dancing on the floor with all the other kids. First, Nina showed her how to dance...

Then, Aunt Messa attempted....or dragged her around ;)

And once more with Nana, showing her how to Cotton Eye Joe

But, then Papa and Nana showed us how it's really done...

Great family times :) We had a great time with Nina...see you at Christmas Time!

Anderson Farms

It was a beautiful fall day in Colorado when we took the family to Anderson Farms. This was our 3rd annual trip together and this time, we got to bring Nina from Texas, Papa and Nana with us! We had a great day feeding the animals, going on a barrel ride, running through the maze and running around having fun! We finally made it to the Wagon Ride to go pick our pumpkins and WOW were there a million to choose from this year. Lorin even found a baby one for her! What a fun day! Thank you Nina, Papa and Nana for joining us! :)

Story Time

Latley, when I don't hear Lorin making all sorts of noise, I come across Lorin reading to her "guys" as she calls them. It's so cute! I found her singing from a book to her guys in her room. The video is quiet and hard to hear, but here's a picture of her reading to them!

And she likes to carry this baby (her favorite one that our friend Tara gave her) around all the time and it seems to have a different name every time we see her. "Abby" and then recently "Rosie"....
She's getting so tall, Lorin is now 3 feet and 5 inches!!

And of course...Lorin LOVES to take pictures with my camera, here is a self-portrait! (just like her daddy)

Baking Papa's Cupcake

Lorin helped me bake Papa's BIG cupcake for his birthday or as she called it, "The Mountain". We had a lot of fun mixing, stirring and prepping it for the oven. Once it came out, Lorin, The Icing Queen, was very good at topping the little cupcakes and The Mountain. She had fun as did I. Nick came home in time to help do his part, the sprinkles!

This is Lorin in action doing the icing part!

Step Stool to the Rescue

We bought Lorin a new step stool, so she can help out in the kitchen, since she loves doing the dishes and other things in the kitchen. We wanted to make her step stool special, so I though let's stencil it. Didn't realize that acrylic paint does not adhere to laminate very well.

After that was unsuccessful, we painted wood pieces and the later glued that on!
We had so much fun painting and Lorin loves it!

She then helped Daddy glue all the wood pieces on later to make her own customized Step Stool! :)

Now she can help and do anything she wants now with her Big Girl Step Stool! Thanks Daddy! :)

Lorin in Ballet

We were able to spend the entire week with Lorin and got to see her all dressed up in her Ballet outfit before she headed out to school. We also got a few photos from her school while she was in ballet.
